The Nigerians flown home from Libya after trying to cross to Europe

The Observers is a collaborative project that includes both a website and a weekly TV show, all based on amateur content.

Tens of thousands of Nigerian migrants have attempted to cross the Mediterranean in search of a better life in Europe. Many are turned back and detained by Libyan authorities, and eventually repatriated. We head to Benin City, Nigeria to speak with some of the returnees about their journey.

This is part of a series of special episodes in which we go meet several of our Observers.
