‘Come here, if you want to test the law’ – that’s the thinly-veiled threat in a video posted by Chinese police officers on the app Douyin, the Chinese version of the video-sharing app TikTok available only within the country. These images may seem surprising, but many similar videos are visible on official accounts of the Chinese police.
