Chinese mining companies left a Central African river 'in ruins'

Some sections of the Ouham River in the Central African Republic look like construction sites, with low water levels and severely damaged banks. Our Observer tells us several Chinese mining companies exploring for gold have set up excavation sites in the area in recent months.
