Become a Climate Observer!
Issued on: Modified:
As the world prepares for the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP21), which will take place in Paris in December, the France 24 Observers team wants to take a closer look at projects that are helping fight climate change.
Where you live, have you noticed any interesting initiatives that help preserve the environment?
Maybe you yourself are working on a project that helps fight climate change?
Please contact us by email (obsduclimat@france24.com) to tell us all about it!
PLEASE NOTE: We’re looking for projects that we can show through images (photos and/or videos).
We won’t be able to report on projects that cannot be illustrated with images.
What themes are we interested in?
We would love to hear about any projects linked to these themes:
-Energy (reneweable energy, energy conservation, etc)
-Water (access to water, water conservation, etc)
-Waste treatment (recycling, reusing, etc)
-Transportation (encouraging shared transportation, biking, “clean” vehicles, etc)
-Agriculture (biological and sustainable farming, urban farming, crop diversification, etc)
-Ocean and forest preservation
-How to deal with the consequences of climate change on daily life (rising ocean levels, etc)
What we’re not interested in: protests, meetings, or conferences.
Why tell us about these projects?
We will soon be launching a website dedicated to these themes, which will be called “The Climate Observers”. The goal is to shine a light on positive initiatives as well as the people behind them.
We’ve already written several articles on these themes, which you can read by clicking the links below:
Man fights climate change by planting a forest in India
Water bottles lighten up Uganda slums
And with your help, we plan to write many more!
Please don’t hesitate to tell everyone you know about the “Climate Observers”, and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Thanks in advance!
