Video: Teenager killed during Venezuela protests

Several videos – some too graphic to publish here – show a 14-year-old teenager bleeding on the ground, moments after he was shot during protests in San Cristobal, Venezuela on Tuesday. Named by Venezuelan media outlets as Kluiver Ferney Roa Núñez, he is the first victim in the latest round of protests over a worsening economic crisis.

Several videos – some too graphic to publish here – show a 14-year-old teenager bleeding on the ground, moments after he was shot during protests in San Cristobal, Venezuela on Tuesday. Named by Venezuelan media outlets as Kluiver Ferney Roa Núñez, he is the first victim in the latest round of protests over a worsening economic crisis. Prices for food and other basic items have skyrocketed as Venezuela's currency has plunged.

Last year, 43 people died in similar economic protests.

Authorities say a policeman has been arrested in connection with the teenager's death, and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has promised a full investigation.
