Tow truck rescue goes oh-so wrong as rig slips off cliff
Issued on: Modified:
Stranded on a twisty, snow-covered road in the mountains of central Norway, a Lithuanian trucker probably thought all was in the clear when a tow service came to his rescue. Yet as the tow truck slowly trudged forward, its load slid off of the road, tumbling over the cliff’s edge. The tow truck driver managed to leap out of his vehicle to safety as it was dragged off of the mountain by the fallen truck, but the second driver plummeted 196 feet into the gorge below, trapped in the cabin of his rig. According to reports, the Lithuanian driver is currently in stable condition with several broken bones.
