IRAQ- 14/05/09: Youth suicide bomber stopped in the nick of time
Guardians at the Shi’ite Al-Zahra mosque in Kirkuk, in northern Iraq, managed to stop a young suicide bomber on May 1, moments before he could set his explosive belt alight during Friday’s prayer. Pictures of the intervention were then posted on the Web.
HONDURAS - 09/07/09 : Honduran newspaper Photoshops blood from crackdown victim
These photos seem to prove that a pro-coup newspaper digitally removed bloodstains from the image of a protester shot dead by soldiers.
GUINEA - 15/10/09: Stabbed in broad daylight by a soldier, proof in photos
These photos show a Guinean soldier stabbing a supposed protestor in broad daylight. The scenes are even more brutal than those which were revealed the day after the September 28 massacre in Conakry, something which junta chief Moussa Dadis Camara refuses to accept responsibility for, saying that he was "overwhelmed" by his army.
CHINA - 28/10/09: Precarious river crossing claims sixth victim
As there is no bridge for pedestrians to cross this point of the Xunsi River in south-west Wuhan, local residents have to chance using a pipeline to reach the other side. On October 17, it claimed its sixth victim in a decade.
