Urging voters to say no in Saturday's referendum
An umbrella group of the opposition party in Burma, the Political Defence Committee, is against a constitution referendum planned for Saturday and has asked its supporters to graffiti the message in the street. They say the vote is a farce, partly because the ruling military regime has said that anyone who urges people to vote "no" can face a three-year prison sentence.

"I saw thousands of people sleeping in the street because they had lost their homes. I was lucky, I ran away in the night, but I lost everything I had. I saw lots of bodies crushed under trees, there were so many I couldn't count them. I saw corpses everywhere - old and young, children, animals. I could smell death wherever I went."
