Juliana studied for a degree in psychology at the Central University of Venezuela where she gained a masters in Literature. She then taught communication and research methodology at the same university. An independent editor and publisher, Juliana has written the blog Ciberescrituras (http://www.ciberescrituras.com/)since 2005 and currently coordinates and writes for the Weblogs SL blog Papel en blanco(http://www.papelenblanco.com/).

She has participated in government work concerning female and Venezuelan literature. She co-wrote the book The author's anxiety: training female authors in Latin America; autobiographical texts'. She's currently preparing a collection of works to put online on Ciberescrituras.
