re: rubbish crisis

It is probably true that the crisis has become so bad because of local politics and the mafia...but I think it has become too easy for Italians to blame everything on the mafia.

Who creates the rubbish?? We all create it...not just the mafia. I lived in Southern Italy for a few years and I know how dirty the streets are and that nobody cares about recycling their rubbish and keeping the environment clean. Instead Italians prefer to keep their houses clean while they throw rubbish on the streets.

The problem in Italy is not only the politicians and the mafia...it is the Italian mentality. You need to stop blaming everything on the mafia and take some responsibility for your own actions. Italy has the one of the lowest recycling rates in all of Europe. Maybe if you considered what you use and recycle on a daily basis the crisis would not have come to this and the 'camorra' would not be making so much money from you dirt.

So I would like to say to the Italian nation (including the politicians and the mafia) 'VERGOGNA'

Dear Anonyme, It's true, we

Dear Anonyme,
It's true, we italians don't like recycling rubbish but there aren't ecological campaigns in Southern Italy to training the citizens to do this. And why? Because It is good business for someone.

You wrote "vergogna", shame. No I am not shame, but I am shame of this situation and this polity governance. We pay a lot of money for waste disposal and much of this money disappears.

I am shame for people in Italy that dirty our nation.
