Dear Wajeha,
I have just learned about you & your struggle from an article in a supplement magazine of the Sunday Telegraph in England. I am in the UK at the moment but may very soon be back in Bahrain where my mother is from. I am half English & have lived in the Middle East with my family for many years. Though my Arabic is poor & I was never successfully absorbed into the culture I have remained very interested in the politics and milleu of the region, documenting the shia/sunni divide in Bahrain and other skirted subjects in pictures & words.
I can see you have been propositioned by a photographer once on this site already but I am just as interested in your mission & hope you will be as interested in creating a new document defining it, that will stay in the region rather than flying onto the pages of a foreign magazine where it wil be sandwiched between pictures of skinny girls in bikinis.
I will keep looking for a way to reach you until this message earns a response. Until then, stay safe.

Hi Wajeha...
Sorry about all of these funny and interesting stories I hear and read about your culture and country. Listen to me and listen just this once - GOD/ALLAH who created man then woman knows and has more and meaningful value for you than the men out there. One of these days, that same oil money that makes them croak will send them to sleep once and for all while you and many others drive out there in the cities with all the convenience and ease you require. I am a christian vying to become a muslim if I don't die before its done but, listening and looking at some of the drastic laws and rule or policies either man-made or Islamist are a little scary. All in all, one of these days will just be the end of it all and you know how that will happen? Our creator will use these same men who promulgated that law to change it and let HIS people [women] have their liberty for they are members of the human race and belong to this world with all the rights needed. Say a prayer and rest your case okay? Am not asking you to give up but, just ensure you tred carefully all right? Goodluck Waj'...
