Can YouTube win you an election? Probably not. But it certainly plays a role in amplifying certain key moments of the campaign. A little phrase, a few tears, a bad joke. Many campaign anecdotes become huge YouTube hits. These clips are cut out of their original context, dissected, and then thrown into the grazing ground of millions of web-users. From a vast collection of videos spewed out during this year's campaign, here's our Observers' pick of the best, just in time to warm you up for ‘Super Tubes-day'.

Mike Huckabee believes in ‘GodTube’

Republican
candidate Mike Huckabee this week announced that he is a supporter of ‘GodTube',
the all-Christian version of YouTube that carries the motto ‘Broadcast Him'.
Both religion and the internet are important parts of American electioneering. So
why not kill two birds with one stone? Funnily enough, the declaration came at
the same time as the site's announcement that it would start an online poll.
And guess who's in the lead? None other than the Republican favourite Mike
Huckabee, with almost 40% of the votes. Here is Huckabee's declaration of
support and a collection of the best videos from the site.
