Just moments after I posted my last comment, I find an editorial by John Lott that does a much better job of covering candidate Obama's history with gun control.

You are mistaken when you state that Obama, as President, will not attempt to enact severe gun control legislation. His past proves that sentiment wrong.
If you are interested in learning more about what Obama has stated in the past, what he has supported in the past, and his actions during his tenure as a Director of the Joyce Foundation, let me know. I would be happy to point you in the right direction.
