I work for the UK legal organisation The Children’s Legal Centre, based at The University of Essex, as Editor of childRIGHT. I worked as a senior reporter for The Voice, the UK’s popular ethnic newspaper and have written extensively on civil liberties, discrimination, politics and home affairs. A trained barrister, I was the first political reporter from a Black newspaper with full lobby credentials covering events in the House of Commons.
