About me :
Hope is a Zimbabwean journalist working for a South African TV channel. He lives in Harare, capital of Zimbabwe. He has won various awards for independent journalism and especially for his work on AIDS recognition.
Chin'ono who studied his journalism at Harare Polytechnic is also a holder of two Master of Arts degrees in International Journalism from London's City University and one in Documentary Film Practice from London's Brunel University.
He has worked for a number of media organisations that include the defunct Horizon, Sunday Gazette, Daily Gazette, Jamaican Times, Sunday Mail and the BBC among others.
Despite being the the winner of this year’s “Desmond Tutu Leadership Fellowship,” he was told by the electoral commission on 11 March that his accreditation request had been turned down on the instructions of the government-controlled Media Information Commission (MIC), which has put him on a blacklist although he has MIC accreditation valid until the end of the year.
