The Iranian authorities are trying very hard to control information about the post-election protests. Hani, one of our reformist Observers in Tehran, however, has managed to send us this webcam video, explaining how they are going about it.
We didn't
want to rebel, but we want freedom, democracy and equality. We can't use the internet
to get the news, all websites have been filtered and mobiles are jammed. FriendFeed, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and all social networks are also filtered.
All the news agencies are also filtered and some newspapers have closed.

not about nuclear
Submitted by Unregistered user (not verified) on Wed, 17/06/2009 - 20:42.This is about people losing the little amount of choice they had in their government, and freesom of speech. Its not about nuclear weapons or anything outside of Iran. But be sure, a non-democratic government is always a lot more unpredictable and unstable than a democracy, so safety of the whole world is also in danger, if Iran turns into a total dictatorship.

Shut the hell up and stop
Submitted by Unregistered user (not verified) on Wed, 17/06/2009 - 20:41.Shut the hell up and stop believing everything you hear on TV. The Iranians have a right to that technology if they so choose. Regardless of what they do with it.

Submitted by siri (not verified) on Thu, 18/06/2009 - 01:28.Neither the US nor any other country has ANY right to tell Iran whether it can have nuclear ANYTHING or not.
it's no one's business but their own.
when US disarms all it's nukes, THEN it can speak of that to others.

It does not matter. The USA
Submitted by Unregistered user (not verified) on Wed, 17/06/2009 - 21:13.It does not matter. The USA doesn't pursue their own war criminals, the USA under Bush broke every important nuclear anti-proliferation agreement, and most importantly it does not matter at all because this is about the Iranian people, not about any corrupt or power-hungry politican.
At any rate, ignore what the idiots in the USA say. The world is larger than USA alone, however it is apparant that Iran is a dictatorship.
