They've copied Hezbollah's style meticulously - promising to fight Israel, each operation blessed by their secretary general, soldiers donned in army gear and bandanas on which the party name is emblazoned, a green and yellow flag proudly flaunting an AK-47...
The videos of this new organisation have however so far incited more mockery than concern on the part of Hezbollah supporters. Secretary General Mohammed Ali al-Husseini is referred to online as Don Quichotte and Rambo, to name but a few. His merry men, who we see abseiling from buildings (three metres in height), have themselves been christened the "red-skins" because of their camouflage make-up.
The movement clearly distances itself from its Shiite rival. They've already stated their intention to boycott the Lebanese elections planned for 7 June, which they consider corrupt because of "massive financial bribery". The gang has also announced, with photos to prove it, the graduation of their first female Jihadists, all hidden behind black chadors. Hezbollah, on the other hand, don't tend to flaunt the involvement of women in their military operations.
Al-Husseini however, isn't fazed by his own inconsistencies. A few months before he published the videos, he said in his statement of objectives that his party was a "moderate, independent organisation, collaborative with all Arab regimes". To stress his sincerity, he even published his mobile number and email address on his website. Something quite inconceivable for the leader of an armed group pledged to fighting against Israel (Hassan Nasrallah, for example, who is well sought-after by the Israeli Army, only lives in secret hideouts).
Another inconsistency: the Islamic Arab Resistance continues to produce military videos, despite having announced on 9 May that the group had suspended military activities. Why? Because the soldiers were already "sufficiently prepared for combat with the enemy"...

Submitted by Unregistered user (not verified) on Thu, 21/05/2009 - 16:23.I have one question......where did they get those weapons?those are expensive, the weapons in these images are some of the best in the world, also interesting are the configuration of the weapons, the MP5's and the MP5K's are not in ordinary disposition, they look brand new and customized?,also the red dot sites on them are advanced aswell....where did they come from?
the G3's appear to be old junkers, but all the CQB stuff looks new and professionally equiped, whoever is supplying the arms I dont know, but the ppl in the images are CLEARLY ignorant about how to properly handle weapons of ANY type
