I just wanna say: if my comment seems impolite and offensive to you, sorry! ......But they're really not my first meaning. My original email to the editor of this website is just a low-quality, and somewhat stupid, "JOKING" comment on that picture. I didn't expect the editor would publish part of it. If you could see the many ":D" and ":)" in my original email, I think you would agree on that.

When I said, "...we (Chinese people) only judge them by their social class, and most important of all, the contents of their WALLET!! ...", and when I said, "...as Chinese netizens, we hate Europe (especially France recently), we hate the US, we hate Japan, and we hate Korea...", I was mostly JOKING, and only refered a small number of Snobs and "Feng Qing" (a Chinese word meaning "angry youth") in China, which kinds of people I believe also exist in any other country.

I believe most people would agree that, such words "......as Chinese netizens, we ......", or even the single word "we", are stupid. There are more than 1.4 billion Chinese people and 200 million Chinese netizens, so it's obvious that they don't think the same way, they don't speak the same words, and they don't hold the same hatred or love. Just take those "Feng Qing" (angry youth) for example, there are mainly two groups among them: one group "feel angry" with the Western, while the other group are angry with our own government, and loves the Western a lot. And please remember, both groups of "Feng Qing" are only minority of the Chinese netizens, and the Chinese netizens are only less than 1/6 of the total Chinese people—— most of which, I can still promise you, are not racists, but only common people, though with this kind or that kind of prejudices (not related with races) and narrow ideas, just like any common people in this world, like you and me.

So in my point of view, maybe the subject "Is China racist" is a good controversy question, but it's also a statistically bad question. I think all the Easterns, Westerns, Africans..., before quarrel and criticize, should try to understand each other more and better, through discussions like this, through serious books and objective media, through travelling to each other's country, and many other ways.

When I heard "I hate china" from some African readers of this article, I felt really sorry and sad. I just wanna say, most Chinese people like Africa, though they don't know much about today's Africa, just like many foreign people don't know much about today's China. And I wanna clariy again, most Chinse people judge a person definitely not by races, money or some similar things, but by whether this person is a good-heart person or not. Yes, there are many "political" (maybe dirty) things in the relationship between two countries; but as common people, not politicians, I wish we could base our love and hatred on the heart and character of a single person, not the country, race, liberature background or social class behind him/her.

As to myself, I'm a fan of many African national football teams (like Nigeria, Cameroon; and yeah, George Weah from Liberia, the super star in my heart when I was in high school). As a enthusiast of long running, I also admire both John Stephen Akhwari and Gebrselassie. And one of my dream is to see the High Mountain Gorilla by myself. I believe when talking about Africa, most Chinese people hold the similar feelings with me.

Does not surprise me that the Chinese are rather racially indifferent to people of African descent. Generally most of the world, European and Asian are either indifferent or harbour racist attitudes toward Africa. Whether its the begnin paternalism of Europe or the west, racial indifference as demonstrated and evidenced by china. There still exists a tremendous amount paternalism towards the people of African descent. And further, the world still buys into a lot of the myths and stereotypes of Africa and the people of Africa. Lastly, the picture in the above caption of africa shows just how shocking, appalling and anachronistic the world's thinking is regarding Africa.

"We never judge people by their skin colour, we only judge them by their social class, and most important of all, the contents of their WALLET!!" LOL!

"But as for Africa, I think most Chinese people neither hate it nor love it. In fact we don't care about it, and we know almost nothing new about it."

I agree that the Chinese "racism" stems more from prejudice and ignorance. I'm sure that a very significant number of Chinese (95% or higher) have never even met or seen a dark skinned person before in their lives.
