"I want Russians to leave my town"

gohomeT.jpg

While the international community waits for Russian troops to complete their withdrawal of Georgia, our Observer in the field tells us that the army is in fact consolidating its position around Poti, her town. According to her, its citizens have begun protesting against this occupation.

Samira Kuznetosva is a Russian blogger from Poti, a seaside town in Georgia occupied by Russian troops.

Russians are blocking the entrance to the city, nobody can go there. The town itself is calm: shops are open, but not banks.

I'm Russian, I speak Russian and I feel Russian, but I have the Georgian nationality and I have always lived here, my family moved here a century ago. I don't feel any animosity specifically against me from native Georgians. This is a small town and we all grew up together. I can imagine that some people feel resentment, but most realise that this invasion was decided by Russia's government, not by its people.

I would also like Russians to leave my town. Yesterday, I went to a demonstration [see photos] demanding their departure. But they don't seem ready to withdraw."

I know two things: 1)

I know two things:
1) Georgians troops killed about 1600 citizens in South Osetia
2) After Russian troops came in South Osetia, killing of citizens was stopped.
So, who is right?
And I know another thing: Georgian “democratic” government blocked Russian Internet sites in Georgia… Because Georgian government don’t want its citizens know the truth. The truth about Georgians troops killed childes and destroying hospitals.
How many georgians was killed by russian troops? But Georgians troops killed about 1600 citizens in South Osetia.
It is a fact.

Have you seen photos with killed by Georgians troops hundreds people? I have seen. And I also have friends in army who saw how Georgians troops killed civilians. I know my friend from my childhood. It can not be lie because I know my friend. I know them about 10-15 years.

Do you have friends that are in South Ossetia now? Not journalists, but friends, who can tell you the truth?
I know, that you don't have such friends. Because, if you have such friends, you will know the truth about Saakashilli's killers.

You may believe in your mass media, but I believe in the words of my friends. Friends, that protecting civilians from Saakashilli's killers.

Greetings, Funny tho, almost

Greetings,

Funny tho, almost all comments by russians (not only here) do mo than often sound prety much the same. I have a kremlin propaganda news channel on sky tv 'russia today', which lies and twists the reality of the situation and reading these posts by you guys is the same as watching this 'kgb news'.
Not only Georgia m8, who were attacked by a not so carefuly constructed and bait operation. It was even predicted predicted by some 5 months b4 it kicked off anyway (www.kavkaz.org.uk).

Please, look around ya. In russia this curent regeime gunned down all free press and clamping down on freedom of speech anyway. To be honest, I don't even bother with russian posts or coments posted by russians- it's all pure hatered and lies. Gang leader Puton is the main hater there, rest of them are his kisas puppets...

It's a shame to see that such great nation who gave world libertarians like Bakunin,F.Kropotkin,E.Goldman,N.Makhno are enslaved by cowards and bloodsukin leeches in kremlin.

And you believe only west propaganda...

I just read an information on www.dailymail.co.uk that Georgian troops killed at least 2000 civilians and Russian troops killed 129 civilians....

It is clear to understand, that Russia did right thing, but lose information war. Because information war is the war of liars, and russians are bad liars.

You may think that it is a propaganda, but you can compare 2000 civilians dead and 129 civilians dead...

Fact can't be propaganda...

Two wrongs dont make a right

Just because Georgia killed many people in South Osetia does not mean that it is now right for Russia to occupy Georgia.

Why USA occupied Iraq?

Russia didn't occupy Georgia... Just demilitarize it. If Russia wanted occupy Georgia they will do the same think, as USA did in Iraq. USA really wanted occupy Iraq. And USA did it. Russia didn't want occupy Georgia. And they did not it. Because there wast not any Russian tanks, for example, in Tbilisy.

Do not drink tea with polonium!

As Saakashvili is a military criminal, Russian army (in an ideal) should enter in Tbilisi, arrests the president and then leave. I am afraid, that Saakashvili will be soon killed, and the West will accuse Russia, "bloody KGB". For America other president of Georgia is necessary, because this "friend of free world" discredited himself. Somebody, warn unfortunate Michael that he checked with dosimeter his tea:).

Typical Russian - nasty cynical lies

Your country and its bloody regime has caused so much misery to its own citizens and those in the countries it falsely claims it has 'interest' in threatening ... I mean ...having close working relatrionships with.

You, a supposed Russian journalist, lack any credibility - go see for yourself the extent of who did the ethnic cleansing, who did the plotting behind this nasty little war (bullying by a supposed important country)

Russian forces and their generals and politicians blow hot and cold all the time. 'We don't want war with the West' while saying we will target Poland
'We are peacekeepers' while allowing massive amounts of raping, pillaging and destruction of property.
'We will pull out by Friday,' and they dont
'We had nothing to do with the landmine on the railway tracks' oh yeah - pull the other one IVAN
'We didn't kill the 2 Georgian policemen and neither did the Abkhazians,' so how did they die? Suicide?

You Russians are at best apologists for your own evil undemocratic government and sick nation. You have got a government that serves you right and it will lead you ever further in to status as a world-wide pariah where no one in the west will want to invest in your dangerous unreliable country and no one will want your citizens to stay in there country and no one will shake the hand of that man of blood, Putin.

Thank God there are some people in this world who see through the lies that uour state-propaganda-lie-manufacturing regime pump out...sadly that clearly isn't you

Threaten Saakashvili again and I will threaten you....only Russian journalists have a history of being murdered by their own regime.
