Can the "old guys" be trusted?

anciens bleus - obs.jpg
The "Eurofiasco" 2008 of les Bleus is over. Only one goal scored, six caught, last of the group with one point scored--a complete disaster. Incompetent coaching, slow games, no strategy and no leadership on the field, a chaotic tournament that reminds us of the 2002 debacle. Should the old French players be blamed?

Les Bleus

I watched the games from my home in Canada. I was very excited before the games, I had contacted my Italian friends in preparation for the game on Tuesday 17. But the way the french team played in game one and two was not a good sign for game three.
The french team did not play well. Because I am a good arm chair coach, I think that the team needs to start again and learn to play together. The coach, needs to "kill the ghost of Zidane". Zidane is part of the history books and yes he was a great player and may be the best, but he has moved on to another field of challenges. The french team needs to rebuild and become one.
The problem with the team was Zidane. The team over the years was built around one man and not eleven. That has to change. After all, Zidane would admit that by himself, he would not have won anything.
So, allez les bleus, get up again and rebuild, in preparation for the next world cup. And remember "IMPOSSIBLE N'EST PAS FRANCAIS".
