Euro 2008 hosts Switzerland bowed out in style after a 2-0 win over already qualified Portugal.

Swiss striker Hakan Yakin scored both goals, firing home in the 71st minute and converting a penalty 12 minutes later.

"A victory would have been good"

Patricia Silva from Portugal thought this game was more a friendly game than a Euro's game.

What a disappointment. While it was true we were not going to play with our usual team, I didn't expect all of they key players to be out, but even then it's a shame that our other players didn't perform as they're supposed to.

Our goal shouldn't have been disallowed but it wouldn't have made a difference, as Switzerland scored twice. Might I just say that I feel bad for Switzerland and part of me wanted Yakin score that penalty.

However, I don't think people care so much about the result of this match, most people just thought of it as a friendly match.

Nonetheless a victory would have been good, but Switzerland played well and they deserve the 3 points.

Now, we just have to limit ourselves to wait for tomorrow's matches and see who we're playing against and prepare for it.

I wished Czech Republic win, so we could possibly meet them again at another stage, but that didn't happen, sadly, but the tournament continues!
