"We will have to play our game and combine "

Is the Mannschaft in good shape ?

Rainer Bonhof: The German team is in great form, better than anyone thought. The first game was very impressive, they lost their concentration for only 20 minutes but it’s a confident team and tonight they will accelerated even more.

Should they fear the Croats? What are their strong points?

R. B: I think that in this tournament, the Germans should fear no one. The Croats are good in one-on-one and if they play hard we should keep it cool and not make mistakes and play well.

Is there a Croat that you are afraid of?

R. B: I can’t think of anyone who plays particularly well like Ballack on our side for example. Their teamwork is very good and we should be careful against the Kovac brothers and Petric who plays in Germany and knows the German game.

Which is the best strategy to adopt?

R. B: The ideal would be to score straight at the beginning to wait for their attack and counter them.

Let’s suppose Germany qualifies for the quarter final, which team will qualify with them?

R.B: Most likely Croatia, but if Poland wins largely against Austria, we can expect an incredible final game between the two teams.
