The final between Egypt and Cameroon was a testimony of excellence for the Egyptian national team. They not only earned the cup; they played one of the greatest matches in the history of football, catching the attention of millions of fans all over the world.

Even before the match there were millions of Egyptians preparing to celebrate- they had no doubt that Egypt would win. The game was incredible- we couldn't leave our seats. It was visible that the two teams were equivalent to each other so it was really hard to decide who would win. The Egyptian team was doing its best to score right up until the 72nd minute of the match, when eventually, between Zeidan and Abo Treka, we scored the best goal of the CAN.

Later the Cameroonians launched a series of attacks that tested the extraordinary talents of the Egyptian defence, especially goal keeper Essam Alhadary who is considered by many as the greatest ever Egyptian goal keeper. Right after the end of the match Egypt was alight with lights and fireworks, people from every background were there, and there were reports that Arabs all over the world celebrated. One of the most beautiful things that came out of the CAN was to see how sport can unite countries.
