Did Chelsea Clinton break electoral law?

Bloggers are reacting to news from ABC that Hillary Clinton's daughter might have infringed on Democratic electoral rules by visiting volunteers supervising a New Haven polling station, Connecticut. According to the rules, candidates or their close relations are not allowed to come within 75 feet of a polling station. The person in charge of the polling station said they did not object to Chelsea's visit because she simply came to say hello to her colleagues. Bloggers however have seized upon the news, as you can see in the examples here and here. To be continued...

Clinton's Fox News interview infuriates bloggers

In an about face from the general Democratic Party line, Hillary Clinton has accepted a debate on Fox News, infuriating Progressives- especially in the blogosphere. The Democrats initially cancelled a Fox News debate, claiming the network is neither "fair" nor "balanced." And the progressive bloggers were ecstatic. While Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have both appeared on Fox News for interviews, the Democrats recently snubbed Fox News in April 2007 when it came to sponsoring a Democratic debate. They did not agree with the right-wing ideology they accuse the network of having. The reason for the change of the heart from the Clinton camp was that the debate would be able to reach a different group of people. And her people repeated how both candidates already appeared on Fox, and so a debate should be welcomed as another forum to challenge each others' ideas. But progressive bloggers have not shared her view on this one.

Media announces Hillary win too soon, and wrongly

The blogosphere is burning up over several mainstream media sources calling the Missouri election too early. At one point Hillary was 49-48% ahead, and several major networks announced Hillary as the winner. Now Obama is ahead by 49-48% and it appears that some of the major networks might have jumped the gun. Good call from the blogosphere!
