Ronald Cruz graduated from one of the premiere Philippine universities with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Since then, he has been pursuing a Masters degree in Marine Science and teaching college biology courses at his alma mater. Despite this scientific background, he finds time to work on two other fields that he is passionate about: literature and film. He is a locally published author of scientific manuals and short fiction. He also runs the primarily Oscar-related blog Film-Otaku.
