It is a simple fact that every white South African I have met here in the United States, and I have met a few, was a racist. That's not a stereotype or an over-generalization; it's just a fact. Some of them said things to me, apparently assuming that I agreed with them as an American, that were shocking beyond belief. The beliefs they reflected about basic racial issues are, simply put, primitive. It is as if South Africa was living in a time-warped cocoon where the social evolution the rest of the world (certainly the West) was experiencing skipped over white South Africa.

Someone should tell these people that only fools believe in the genetic inferiority of one group of humans over another based on skin color. If the rest of the world really got to know white South Africans on a deeply personal level, this video would not shock them in the least bit. Their society was a morally depraved, barbaric one for decades. Why would you expect them to evolve into modernity with the snap of a finger?
