This video is spreading like wildfire on the Egyptian Web. The scene takes place on Tuesday, January 25 on Kasr el-Aini, one of Cairo’s main avenues leading up to Tahrir square, where tens of thousands of people gathered to protest in the late afternoon. At 1 min 20 secs in the video, a protester single-handedly blocks an armoured vehicle wielding a water canon. The image is eerily reminiscent of that of the legendary student of Tiananmen Square, who in 1989 had stood up to Chinese Red Army tanks.
Four people were killed in clashes between anti-government protesters and security forces in Egypt on January 25.
