Iranian news site gives fighter jet Photoshop treatment

The photograph shows an Iranian fighter jet, the brand-new F-313, soaring high above snow-capped mountains. There’s just one problem – savvy Iranian Internet users quickly realised the photo of the jet was clearly one taken during the jet’s unveiling two weeks ago in Tehran, and superimposed onto a photo of Damavand mountain.
Photo published by Mashregh News.
Photomontage published by Khouz News.
The photo was published last week on Khouz News, a website focusing on news from the southwest province of Khuzestan. While many Iranians online criticised the site for Photoshopping the image, this incident came to them as little surprise, as doubts had already emerged as to whether the jet was even real. Several foreign aviation experts have said the plane seems much too small to carry all the state-of-the-art technology – including radar evasion – which Iranian officials claimed it had. Iran’s defence minister has dismissed these doubts as “enemy propaganda.”
This would not be the first time Iran unveiled technology that it doesn’t actually have. Last November, Iran’s news agency Photoshopped an image of a Japanese drone and claimed it as Iran’s.
One Iranian blogger, who found what looks like the photo of the mountain used in the photomontage (above), penned the following satire:
“What you need to fly the fighter jet:
1. A photo of the place you wish to fly the jet
2. A photo of a mock-up jet
3. A Photoshop program
4. And now your jet can fly and destroy enemies!”

Without Photoshop Iran would be in the dark days of the middle ages ;-)

Roy Lichtenstein inspired parody

I found a great Roy Lichtenstein inspired parody of this here:

Perhaps that's how President Admadinejad see's future dog-fighting panning out!?

Give peace a chance

Why all the fuss? After all developing countries like Iran, have good examples to follow from developed countries like now well documented fabricated dossier on Iraq weapons of mass destructio (WMD) leading to killing of millions of innocents for benefit of warmongers and as we have been witnessing yet another now being put together fabricated allegations aginst Iran. At least use of photoshop does not lead to killing of millions of innocents.
We talk about freedom of speech in the West but very happily stop broadcasting of Iranian channels to stop alternative views being broadcasted as has been carried out by France based Eutelsat banning of Iranian media in EU and USA. Surprisingly this style mass media censorship was not even practiced on German media during Hitler era which was responsible for killing of >20 millions!!!
Please be unbiased in order to give peace, justice and prosperity for all a chance.

Quote from Edward N. Luttwak

"An unpleasant truth often overlooked is that although war is a great evil, it does have a great virtue: it can resolve political conflicts and lead to peace. This can happen when all belligerents become exhausted or when one wins decisively. Either way the key is that the fighting must continue until a resolution is reached. War brings peace only after passing a culminating phase of violence. Hopes of military success must fade for accommodation to become more attractive than further combat."

you are absolutly right..

you are absolutly right.. Iraq also claimed movement and development of WMD's.. problem was we fell for it.. Result... dictator Murderer gone... That'll teach em to bluff....

Nice writing. But the only

Nice writing. But the only part you missed was the fact that Iraq lead the UN inspectors around like little kids. Not letting them go wherever they wanted and acted like they were moving stuff around. They didn't give the proof they need to that there were no WMD so they got invaded. Wait for Im a nut job to get the nucular wepon and see if he won't kill millions of people. He has vowed to wipe out Isreal if he gets the wepons so figure out what Isreal will do if he comes close.

This fake photo is in the first page of Iran official website

you can see this fake photo in this official website that's for Iran's government :
I will make one of this for fighting with u.s :))

be reliable... is not official website from the state at all, and it is just a website of one of the cities in Iran... the photo is photoshop for sure, because as I remember it was a criticism to the press when they reveal the news of fighter jet that why there is no photo or video from the jet when it's flying... as you see france24 took the first photo from and the second photo from khouznews (there is no photo of the jet upon the mountains in or any other official iran's government websites) I'm just wondering why france24 which is called as credible news group rely on null websites....
Is that to make its news in the way that he wants!!!!!!
