On the stroke of midnight Thursday, marijuana smokers toked up under Seattle’s iconic Space Needle to celebrate the drug’s decriminalisation in the state of Washington. As of Thursday, anyone over the age of 21 can
legally carry up to one ounce of marijuana, but is not allowed to smoke it in public. This didn’t deter Seattle’s celebrants, but luckily for them, no police showed up to kill their buzz.

It could also be said that now that its legal, moderation and education is key to avoid addiction.
