"Minio", a young Iranian who was detained during the post-election repression, describes the humiliating experiences she went through at the hands of her jailers.
The last in a long list of complainants, an Iranian member of parliament has spoken out about the rape and torture of protesters detained following the 12 June election results. The unnamed Iranian MP, who worked on a committee charged with investigating prisoner abuse during the post-election repression, made the acknowledgment in a statement given last Thursday. "Raping of some detainees through baton and soda bottle has been proved to us," he was quoted as saying by the reformist parliamentary news website Parlemannews.ir. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei however blamed reformist politicians for focusing on prisoner abuse rather than the original "defacing of the system" by protesters.
Numerous accounts of prison abuse have emerged since some of the hundreds of people arrested in the repression were released. Even the most prominent cases have, however, been carefully refuted by the authorities. Findings from the investigative parliamentary committee in question are also expected to be unreliable - the majority of the committee members are members of Ahmadinejad's government, the minority, reformist politicians...

Mino, a continuous nightmare!
Submitted by Omid Habibinia on Thu, 03/09/2009 - 14:14.This is not a new story, during last three months; I personally heard many similar or even worse stories of rape and sexual assaults in jails or unknown custodies among detainees, both male and female.
But according to some social buries most of rape victims never talk about these horrible experiences even with their families, so we could not find many people who would talk about it.
I knew Mino’s story for more than one month and finally after some challenges in public opinion about rape in jails, she agreed to talk about some parts of her experience.
As she is now under psychological treatment, we couldn’t expect more from her, I even don’t know if she said the story to her family or some human rights activists.
But as far as I remember these kinds of structured torture has happened every time in Iran’s jail for political prisoners and even ordinary people.
There are many stories about them. We know about young girls who were raped by IRG members in 80’s and even before execution, we also know many famous cases in the recent years.
Almost all female detainees who freed from jail have some kinds of assaults experience but in different rages. We also hear some other female journalists and bloggers are now under hard pressure to confess about sexual relations; such lies make their file more dangerous and a cause to accept everything from their interrogators.
Already they officially announced that investigating reports of rape and sexual assaults in jails; however it is clear there would be not a big accusation.
Last night a young woman who recently escaped from the country told me she had the same experience last year as Mino, and we can also remember Taraneh. A female lawyer who recently was freed from jail says that she is the symbol of all women raped recently in jails after being arrested in demonstrations or by police attack to their homes.
But as we talk more about these tragedies we could know better the structure of jail and political punishment system in Islamic Republic.

Sodomy is actually a very inaccurate translation in this particular case becase "tajavoz" is always non-consentual where as sodomy can be consentual. Just thought, I should mention that.
It maight be true, but
Submitted by Unregistered user (not verified) on Thu, 03/09/2009 - 12:57.It maight be true, but notice what she is saying, she said they THREATED me to RAPE me from behine, acctualy she means from bottom, so litruraly the word sodomize, might be better, it refers litterateuraly and scintificaly to anal sex wich has more humilation for female victims.
he is an attention seeker transexual
Submitted by Unregistered user (not verified) on Wed, 02/09/2009 - 14:15.it's obvious from his account of the story that he is a transexual
otherwise they would not ask him for the number of men And women he slept with
and they would threaten him of rape not sodomizing.
this having been said, what he said could or could not be true
he could be only an attention whore like many in the transexual community
or he could have been really abused of .... in both cases, poor guy
Why Transexual?

If you do, then you should know that virgins will never get death penalty's, because then they will die as a pure person and go to heaven.
So in Iran one of the guards marries the detainee, makes sure she loses her virginity, then kills her. Making sure she will burn in hell. This is all confirmed by amnesty international, make an effort and read about it.
So that same guard has now the task to interrogate these young beautiful women. Their main job is to crack someones spirit down, so he or she wouldn't care anymore about anything. They want names, leaders of opposition movements. Rape destroys someone's mentality, not having enough sleep, having pain, ....all these things are a technique to bring someone down. That guard who has raped before, do you honestly thing he wouldn't do it again?
Haven't the Iranian people show you guys enough footage with their cell phones? What does it take to believe this call for freedom and justice?
