
Clashes in Iran on Sunday were the bloodiest since the post-election protests in June, resulting in the reported deaths of eight. Several members of the Iranian opposition were arrested after state television accused anti-regime protestors of "desecrating" posters of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founding father of the Islamic Republic.
